custom shipping requirements

I want to know how to put 2 items in one shipping box. I ship flat rate and I can put up to 6 items in a box. Does anyone know how or where this could be achived?

I'm not sure if this solution would work for you or not... but, say it costs you $9.00 to ship 1 item, and $11 for 2 items and $13 for 3 items (all examples, not sure if this is your situation)... and so on for shipping in one box, you could probably set your Per Item shipping module at $2, and your handling fee at $7.

Or, if you are doing a true Flat Rate shipping, were you want to charge something like $15 per box, I think you can figure out how much the max you can ship in that box is (say 5 pounds for example), and set the max weight at 5 pounds in the Admin>> Configuration>> Shipping/Handling area so in theory (I haven't tried it so I don't know for sure) anything over that 5 pounds should go in a new box and might charge again for the flat rate? (I think my first example is probably going to be the best way to go if you need your flat rate to fluctuate-- which wouldn't make it truely flat rate though).
