trouble with install

tried 5 times, thought the problem was with safe mode "on" but i have had host turn that off, the install seems to go seemlessly untill i hit save to bbforum intergration, it then throws blank page and that is it

Are you installing using the Zen Cart distribution or your control panel's install?

using the installer,

ie ...... /zcinstall,

it gets thru all the stages, untill the bbforum questions, if i click yes to bbforum, the folder does not exist, if i click no, and save it goes to blank screen

Sorry no answer for you , just conformation that I am experiancing the same problem, exactly as you describe.

I read in the wiki to try makeing a file /httpdocs/includes/local/configure.php

No errors reported , still a blank screen ( page source is empty also) URL is

........./zc_install/index.php?main_page=config_checkup&action=write

A quick check in the database reveals that all apears to be ok , the installer produces 95 tables.

I also tried droping all the tables and runing the installer again.

MySQL 3.23.58 , php 4.35
