modifying zen-cart side categories similar to Macys.com

This looks simple but I am wondering if it can be done with zen-cart. I want to modify the side product categories to function like that of Macys. I want to set it up so that when you click on Men for example, the sidebox only displays men only categories.

I am not not explaining it properly, but if you check the macys.com website and click on any of the top categories, you will see exactly what i mean.

I just need some help to get started.

Thank you!

Well, you can turn sideboxes on and off on a per page basis, so some combination of that and the 'blank sidebox' mod and maybe the 'hide categories' mod would do the trick.

... Or use a different product type for each "section" of the store.

What do you mean by that?
Thanks!

By default, there are 3 product types installed with Zen Cart, general, document, & music.

Learn to use the tutorials/FAQ's in the top nav bar^^

Search for product types netted

cool! I got it to work using a combination of category dressing and hide category contribution. This was much easier than I thought. Know I just want to make my header more appealing. Check it out guys!

Thanks for the assistance!

You can play with a graphic app and images - or hire a graphic artist to design what you want.

I am also graphically challenged and struggle with athetics also
