Site gets stuck when you click checkout - And Really Slow... Please Help!

Please add something to the cart and click on checkout. The site just hangs... Sometimes it goes through after a bumch of times... But usually it gets stuck.

This site is hosted on godaddy...

I changed the template to classic and it was still the same. I changed the checkout style from 3 page to a one page using the module "fast_and_easy_checkout_for_zen_cart" But it's still the same??

Can't think of anything else. Is it GoDaddy? Thank you in advance.

The site works as it's supposed to for me, but the whole site is really slow. Also, I'm getting the secure/non-secure box in IE on your https pages.

You didn't ask for reviews, but if I were a potential customer looking for a car cover ( I really like the product, BTW), I'd be looking somewhere else as soon as that video started. Very annoying.

Have you looked at the other posts from folks using that host? Lots of problems there ...

Usually because they use a bizarre, unconventional SSL set-up on their boxes.

Any other Ideas before I move the host?

I use godaddy. But I have a dedicated server.
Reason being, zen cart is resource hungry but you must consider all it does. The shared hosting is far too overloaded and slow for this.
It's the old "you get what you pay for".

Once my contract with them is up I will be moving from there.
If you don't have an extended contract I would suggest moving. Click the hosting button at the top here and you will find people that know what they are doing and care that your store performs well.

Okay I have made a duplicate of the site on another server....

In IE, it just never gets to the checkout page.

In FF, with NoScript blocking the video and Flash, I get this message immediately:

**Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.**

My cookie settings on both browsers are the defaults, so I don't think the problem is here.

Thanks Dr. Byte... There was a problem with the one page checkout... I deleted all the files and I think it worked... Don't know what the problem was exactly as to pinpoin it out...

I just wanted to mention this in case your issue was caused by the same problem, if it is then you will run into it again. I had the same error as you and it turned out to be a bug in the store credit addon module. The customer who was experiencing the error during checkout had used store credit for their last order. I checked in the store credit module in the admin and it showed their balance as -0.00 which was messing up the checkout. I changed it to 0.00 and it fixed the error :)
