ZJ Silver Support Thread

The ZJ Black template template is looking great. Are you setting up the columns so they can be set on either side? Single or double?

Having the controls in the admin to do the following would be awesome:

1.) be able to set single or double columns on the right, left or right and left.

2.)be able to set the collapse feature and the hide feature on the side bars on and off.

The ajaxed tabbed "bestsellers/featured/sale/new" on the home page box is really nice. Is that going to be stock in the template? Also the buttons are very well done on both the silver and black templates. This is going to be a really slick Web 2.0 presentation for Zen Cart.

If this plays well with Tabbed Products Pro, that would be a big plus. Since you are doing tabs in the "bestsellers/featured/sale/new" box in jquery somewhere on the todo list for the future version could be to use your jquery library to do the same thing in your template.

Keep up the good work. This is an exiting edition to Zen Cart.

Re: ZJ Silver Support Thread

Having this template play well with "Fast and Easy Checkout" and "Easy Sign Up and Login" which are also template modifications would be nice as those are good mods that really streamline the order process.

Re: ZJ Silver Support Thread

Thanks for the feedback Picci.
I'll release the ZJ Black templates as 2 different templates on Friday.
One with normal left & right side boxes and the other with both left and right side boxes beside each other on the right hand side.
The reason I am doing this is that the one with the side boxes beside each other is a css layout not a table layout and I want that extra space above the two columns for the tabbed bestsellers/featured/sale/new box.

I'll look at the other contribs you suggested and see what can be done.
As for admin controls, they won't be in Fridays release but will be at a future date with choices for all sorts of slide in/out/up/down/explode and so on type effects.
If anyone else wants to provide feedback on either of these two templates before I release them, you can see them here: ZJ-Black and ZJ-Black-2.
Thanks, Ant.

Re: ZJ Silver Support Thread

I have just uploaded the ZenCart jQuery pack to the templates downloads section.
While waiting for it to be added, you can download it at http://zencart-jquery.com.
This pack includes 5 templates, the original ZJ Silver but with a new carosuel for extra product images.
The other four templates all display truncated product descriptions on the home page along with plus/minus buttons for displaying more/less products in that module.
Lots of other jQuery additions too...
I'll put a demo site up in the next few days so you can try out the templates before you download, but for now any feedback is appreciated.
Ant.

Re: ZJ Silver Support Thread

anthonyd,

Did you ever post a version of the template without the ability to minimize/close the individual boxes (on the user level)? I know this is kind of the point of this template, but I really just like the simplicity of it (color and font), but without the need for the minimize/close option.

Thanks for your help and contributions.

Daniel.

Re: ZJ Silver Support Thread

Hi Daniel,
No i haven't released any versions without the jQuery additions yet, just back from a weekend away so checking up on things now.
Which template do you want without the minimize/close functions and do you still want the other fancybox/carousel and other jQuery features?
Ant.

Re: ZJ Silver Support Thread

I like the normal ZJ Silver, the original. I am not too sure what other jQuery features are in this template. Also, not too sure what the fancybox/carousel is. I just like the silver and white simple layout. Can you elaborate some?

Thank You.

Daniel.

You can see the fancybox & carousel on this page. Just click on the product image or scroll down to see the additional product images and mouse over the arrows.

Re: ZJ Silver Support Thread

Haha, even simpler. I don't even need that. I can just embed my images in the product description. My store will not have lots of items, only a few higher priced items. Taking a little more time for me to create each item's page is not a big issue for me.

Re: ZJ Silver Support Thread

Hi Daniel,
Looks like all you need is the style sheet so.
Just use the default zencart template & replace the style sheet with the one included with the ZJ-Silver template.
No need to add any of the jscript, or template files if you don't want any of the jQuery functions.
Ant.

Re: ZJ Silver Support Thread

It looks like my ZenCart jQuery template pack has just been added to the templates download section, you can now get it here.
This includes 5 templates including an updated ZJ_Silver template.
Please post any issues here or on the blog and I will try to address them as time permits,
Thanks, Ant.

Re: ZJ Silver Support Thread

I installed the mod column divider pro and column layout grid. The problem that im having is that in the special boxes they still show in a row and not in a column.

Is there away to fix this? If so then how do you go about doing so?

Can be seen here: http://dealz-r-us.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=3_10

thank you

Re: ZJ Silver Support Thread

Can't see your site at the moment so can't see which template you are using, you seem to have removed some files.
All you should need to do is just remove /includes/modules/TEMPLATENAME/specials_index.php

Re: ZJ Silver Support Thread

For those of you who have the zj silver template and want to get rid of that bottom "free ZenCart" footer...

It is located in the jscript_jquery_xtra_controls_min.js file in the 'jscript' folder of the zj_silver template folder.

Open the file and do a quick search for jquery or free Zencart or whatever else is in that bottom line you want to remove.

Just delete everything within the <div> tags and re-upload. It will remove the Jquery add-on at the bottom footer of the page.

Re: ZJ Silver Support Thread

Thanks rt11234,
That got minified with the javascript on the first release & has been moved to the templates/common/tpl_footer.php for easier removal on the templates pack available here or here.
The updated version in the template pack also contains a different carousel for the extra product images which works a bit better with different sized images.

If anyone needs it as a single download, just let me know,
Ant.

Re: ZJ Silver Support Thread

Ok thank you for the help with the file i needed to edit to get it to work.

One other thing i added the file, but if you look at the page, the new products, and featured there are lines for products to be put in them, if you hit the plus sign they display the products, is there away to change how many products get displayed, instead of three can i display say 6.

Can be seen here: http://dealz-r-us.com/

Re: ZJ Silver Support Thread

It's still not working correctly for you, the minimize/maximize plus/minus buttons are only showing on your new products box and not specials or featured.
Also the minimize/maximize button on your new products isn't working.
I'll have a look at the contrib you are using to see how to get it working properly together.
As for displaying more products in these boxes, if you do a search in
/includes/templates/zj_black_2/jscript/jscript_jquery-zcj-controls.min.js
for:

var M=2 - this controls the featured count
var A=2 - this controls the new products count
var J=2 - this controls the specials products count

and change 2 to 5, the count starts from 0, so changing to 5 will display 6 products.

Re: ZJ Silver Support Thread

Sorry, been away all day & didn't get a chance to look at this yet, will have a proper look tomorrow.
For now, can you search for :gt in that jscript_jquery-zcj-controls.min.js
file, you should find 6 of them, 2 for each of the modules.
Just after the :gt you will see (2) change that to (5) and let me know if all works ok.
These numbers and effects will all be in the admin section soon.
Thanks, Ant.
