how to control which items are listed in the Information Box

Example: I would like to remove "Site Map" and "Conditions Of Use" - is there a way to do that? Thanks...

Re: how to control which items are listed in the Information Box

Hey, thanks!

That does work for some of them. But some are not in there: example is "Newsletter Unsubscribe". I don't intend to use the built-in Newsletter features, so how do I get rid of that?

Secondly, does anyone happen to know how to get "Specials" to appear in the side-bar, under Categories?

All those answers and many more can be found in the tutorials/FAQs and in the e-Start Book. Have you peeked yet? :)

Re: how to control which items are listed in the Information Box

It's not easy sometimes to find things in the Tutorials/FAQs. I generally do look.

Anyway, I was able to find where you shut off the Maillist Unsubscribe link by searching through the source code and using the Developer tools. It's in the configuration > e-mail options.

I still have not located how to add "Specials" to to the sidebar as a single link in the categories section (I don't want a whole specials sidebox showing individual items). I suppose I could hack the templates to display it, I had hoped there was an option.

As far as the eBook goes, no I haven't peeked into the non-free $30 manual that takes up to 36 hours after ordering to appear in my in box, when I need answers now. ;)

Do the math

I see. But time from first post to receiving partial answer = 1 hour 11 minutes. :D

Anyway, I ordered the book.

Most of the posters here are volunteers and 1 hour is great response for something that you paid $0.00 for don't ya think...Try an email to MicroSoft

Actually, you misunderstood me I think. I was commenting how great it was that I got an answer in that time, rather than wait 36 hours for the book to arrive. I was not intimating that the response was slow. I was saying it was faster to post on the forum - no offense intended.

Thank you for your original answer.
