Deactivated Products Show Up Anyway

How do I make deactivated products completely invisible? It used to be all I had to do was deactivate them. Now, they still show up in the search and return "sorry, the product was not found". Yuck! Please help!!!

I cannot reproduce this error ...

What version Zen Cart are you running?

Is this a clean install or an upgrade?

What add-ons do you have?

1.38 Upgrade Database patch level is current. This just started happening after the upgrade from 1.6

Example:
http://upnorthmittens.com/shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=4

Product "Doggie Lovers Purse" has been deactivated, but still shows up...if you click on it you get the not found message

This is happening throughout the entire site, not just with this one product

Aha! A clue ... that bug ... :cool:

Peek at the Known Bug Fixes for v1.3.8 and look through those for this and other updates that you can apply to your site ...

Thanks...I'll give that a try, however the deactivated products are showing up in the search and in the regular category pages, not just new products and upcoming.
