Download Products

I have download products for my store, but each time one order is made for a product, it says out of stock, even when I set them to 5000 in stock.

This should not happen with a download product. :oops:
How can I make the orders unlimited?

Please advice.. :cry:

You should be able to set the product up with quantity 1 ...

However, if you have marked the Product as:
Product is Virtual YES
Product is Always Free Shipping YES

then you have setup the Download incorrectly ... :eek:

Set the Product up as:
Product is Virtual No, Shipping Address Required
Product is Always Free Shipping No, Normal Shipping Rules

this should now correct the issue of the stock being removed on the Product when the download is made ...

Downloads, by default, know that they are virtual and free shipping based on the download filename on the Attribute(s) ...

I have done as required, but it still does not work.
As soon as a order is made, it goes to out of stock.

Works now, was looking under stock settings in configuration

hello... i need help for downloads... ive been figuring this out when i started my site. my problem is i have 40,000+ of downloadable products and was set-up differently and incorrectly due to number personnel incorrect postings. some will charge shipping during checkout some are ok..and i dont want to go one by one editing those products. so im just asking that is there a shorter way to set all products attributes to downloads.to make all products to: 1. Product is Virtual: no, shpping address requied 2. Always free shipping: no, normal shipping rules. or is there a query to run? what would be the exact query for this? any help would be appreciated very much.. thanks you..

Are any of your Products suppose to be either:
Product is Virtual: YES
Product is Always Free Shipping: YES

IF there are any that need these settings, are they a small number that you can edit later and fix them to use these settings if we do a global fix on all of your bazzillion products and set these to the proper settings?

thanks ajeh for your quick response... anyway, i dont have virtual products and a free shipping.. if they are its only a few.. so how can i do global fix for this? but one thing i have one category that needs to be shipping and they are just 21 products and not virtual...

UPDATE products SET product_is_always_free_shipping = 0;

UPDATE products SET products_virtual = 0;

These can be run in the Tools ... Install SQL Patches ... after you have made a good backup of your database ...
