Force default for html emails on customer registration

Force default for html emails on customer registration

My client would like the vast majority of his customers to utilize the HTML email templates we've created. Therefore, I would like a way to default to HTML emails instead of TEXT emails on the registration page.

Is there a way to remove the option all together?

I see that I can force all of the admin emails to send only text, but I do not see that option available for customer emails.

I want to only send text emails to my customers. Is this possible?

I do not want my customers to have an option to select text or HTML.
