[Duplicate] "What's New" section does not honor product status

[version 1.3.8a] The new_products.php module does not, in all cases, honor the product's status. Fix would be to add "and p.products_status = 1" to all queries.

Re: [Duplicate] "What's New" section does not honor product status

Thanks, Steven300. I guess I should have done a thorough job of looking at the forum before creating the thread (newb). If I make changes to the default modules, what is the likelihood that the next update will clobber them and not have this correction in them? In other words, am I best off using override modules in my template until I know that the solution has been made a part of the distribution?

You are ALWAYS better off to use the overrides.

Please do not PM for support issues: a private solution doesn't benefit the community.

Be careful with unsolicited advice via email or PM - Make sure the person you are talking to is a reliable source.
