styling product listing pages with column layout grid

You have much bigger problems than that, not related to using Flexible Product Listing but due to incorrect editing of one or more files.
Your #contentMainWrapper ends in the middle of the product section, and there are several cascades of misplaced or missing elements.

Get these problems fixed and then we can talk about styling. (Some of the errors shown are minor and do not affect the actual rendering of the page, but some of the page problems are not even seen by the validator.)
The javascript for the larger image is broken so that with js turned off, the image appears twice. You made some commenting incorrectly around there.

How can I edit the category page or even the all listings page (being that i will only be having 1 category)

You still have a bunch of bad edits, probably to tpl_product_info_display.php, that are messing up the HTML structure of your product info page.

What exactly do you want the product listing page ("category page") to look like? We can't advise well without seeing what you want.

Hi i downloaded your mod excellent :clap: just what i needed
but i am trying to tweak it slightly because i would like the

item title above the picture
the description beside the picture
the price and add on the same line

First off, set the display order of the elements in admin as you want them, top to bottom & left to right. Then you can use float: left or right on image, description and price/button elements.

Hi, iam using the Grid view mod on my site.
But have noticed that the product name is below the "Add to Cart" button ( Please see attched Picture )

Hi, installed this mod, at the moment iam getting the results as picture 1, but want to acheive the result as in picture 2.

Is this possible? and what would i need to put into the stylesheet_flexible_product_listing.css to acheive this.

did you already have another mod installed for making images into a grid?

that error means that it did not install the information into the tables cause they are already there.

ok then, did you try installing the sql from the admin part of your store or through myphpadmin in your c-panel?

In admin section of your store did you go to Admin->Configuration->Product Listing and set
Set the following settings:

A. Product Listing - Layout Style

Set the type of layout you want to use. By default, the current Zen Cart layout will be used.

It is called "rows". If you want to use the column and row layout, choose "columns".

B. Product Listing - Columns Per Row

If you choose to use the column layout, type in the number of columns you want to show on each row.

The default is 3 columns.

When you go to your store are the images in a row now or not

are you getting any other error messages at your store.

did you make sure that any of those other mods do not share a file that this mod has...if they do then you have to merge then into one for the store

Is there a more recent version of this mod? The one I downloaded from post #50 is from 2009... has v1 been released yet?

the one in the add ons area is for zencart 1.3.8 and i have it installed in my 1.3.9h version

of course i think the one in #50 is not the same thing but to be used with the one in add ons

No, the Flexible Product Listing mod is an adaptation of Column Layout Grid, and completely replaces it.
There is a minor change in product_listing.php for v1.3.9g (I think), but it is purely housekeeping and does not affect functionality. You can use the version attached in post 50 here for v1.3.9h.

well I'm confused cause isn't that what this mod does in a way...just because they are in a grid they are still in columns too

and probably more eye friendly too
