Salemaker & Specials not working with Price Updater

I have searched the previous post(s) for the answer to this, and if I overlooked it I apologize. I can't get Salemaker or Specials to work properly on any products. All products are priced by Attributes.
Apply Discounts Used by Product Special/Sale is marked Yes. Product Priced by attributes is also Yes. The Price Updater module has been installed, and seems to work ok until moving a Salemaker into the cart, then the price goes haywire. On "Special", the base price is discounted correctly initially on the updater, but when an attribute is added only the attribute is discounted, not the base price. Is this a glitch in Price Updater? Shouldn't it still show correctly in the cart even if the updater is not working?

See the link above for info about the updater. It is an option that is necessary due to how many different attributes we have for the products.

Fair enough. Since it's related to an addon, I'm moving this thread to the addons area.

It might have been better for you to have posted directly in that thread, since your problem seems to be specifically affected by its use.

You might try going to Admin->Tools->Store Manager, and choosing Reset Products Price Sorter and/or Reset Master Categories ID.
You should do a database backup before doing that though.
