How do I remove "Free shipping Only" text?

Hello,

We are configuring our zen-cart to sell a service.
We need to have the customer's address to do the service at thier location.
Since this is a service, we obiviously do not want to charge shipping and have set up our cart to display free shipping for all of our products.

Everything works fine, we just want to remove the Free Shipping! box and radio button, because it is not necessary to be displayed on the checkout page. It is irrelevant. It says Free Shipping, it is checked, it cant be unchecked and it shows $0.00. This can add unneccesary confusion to the user.

When you go to step 1 of the checkout process you see the free shipping box.
How do we get rid of this?

The easiest way to "remove" this part of the checkout process is to simply change the text from "Free Shipping Options" to something other than shipping.

For examply, it could be changed to "Other Options" and the checked text be changed from "Free Shipping" to "No other options", then at least it doesn't need to be a complete redesign of the checkout process; just an extra page for your customers to select "No other options" or something more meaningful for your business and move on to make the payment.

To do this, open the following file in Notepad and make these changes:
\includes\languages\english\modules\shipping\freeoptions.php

change in red to something meaningful for your business:
define('MODULE_SHIPPING_FREEOPTIONS_TEXT_TITLE', 'Free Shipping Options');

define('MODULE_SHIPPING_FREEOPTIONS_TEXT_WAY', 'Free Shipping');

Save this file and upload it into the appropriate place on your site:
\includes\languages\english\modules\shipping\

It may not be what you want, but at least it removes the shipping confusion you mention.

I was thinking that this may be a route that we have to go, but I was hoping that there was a way to remove it all together.

However, I think you are correct in that the easiest solution at this point is to just edit the text. Maybe I will try something like: "No Shipping Required" and then the amount is $0.00.
This should make sense to any persons purchasing a service.
