Admin Error 404 - not found

Could someone please shed some light on my problem? I was ready to publish my site from https://www.mywebsite.com/store to https://www.mywebsite.com. I changed the includes/configure.php and admin/includes/configure.php files but then was told I needed to change something in admin first. I went back and changed my configure files again but I simply can't access admin anymore - https://www.mywebsite.com/store/admin gives me Error 404. What on earth have I done and how can I save the day?
