Product Information displayed twice in shopping cart

Hi,

I'm currently setting up my first Zen-Cart-based shop (running the german version 1.3.8a) on my local machine and so far, all I can say is the product is really awesome and fairly easy (compared to developing Java-shops from scratch)

There's (for now) just one problem I can't figure to solve and to which I can't find any corresponding forum thread:

All the information belonging to a product in the shopping cart is displayed twice (image, description, price) in the same row (now matter if even or odd).
It still seems to count price, quantity and total correctly, so I guess it's just a layout problem. It's just in the cart, nowhere else.

I guess I must have mixed something up while editing the stylesheet or one of the few php-pages I touched.

I'm sorry to say that there's no server on which you could have a look at my problem, but I would highly appreciate if someone knew an answer to this.

If you created your own named template and adhered to the override system

Just switch to the classic template to see of it is a template thing

Then you only need to check the files that you have overridden

No matter what template I choose - the problem persists. Doesn't seem to be a template problem.
I cannot safely say that during the process of getting used to the override system I didn't change a page in the tempate_default directory, though I don't think so. Any other idea where the problem could be located?

If there's a way to avoid reinstalling the shop, I'd highly appeciate it...

P.S.: I tried removing the overwritten files (CSS, tpl_footer/tpl_header/tpl_main_page), from my template directory
but it didn't eliminate the problem either....
