Specific Product for one Customer

Hi

I sometimes have a one-off product that a customer will email us to buy. Can I create a way for my customer to buy this product via our website, without making the product visible to everybody?

You could do the Hidden Category trick with an active product for them to buy or make a hidden category with a $1.00 product in it that they can just put in the price in the add to cart as the quantity ...

Color me stupid - how do you do the Hidden Category Trick?
Is it simply to disable the category then enabling the products in that category???

Yes, create category, add product to category, then just disable category
but not product.

Yes, that's the idea..used it many times..works fine,
especially using link to product/s in question.

Hi

I just downloaded ZC and have a similar need to hide a product for a specific customer. Where do you find the link / url for the hidden product you mention?

I see that you can enter a products url when creating a product, but no idea what this would be.

Can find product id via zencart admin...
mod in downloads section may also help
