Trying to add custom HTML content to the index page only.

I need to add some html to the main page that will not show up on any other page. I understand I can customize the box layout for the index, but I cannot find anywhere how to include a separate include file for the index only.

Here's the layout I am after. "CUSTOM CONTENT" would only show up on the index page:

Put your HTML in the Define_Main_ Page - Admin> Tools> Define Pages Editor

Yes that works for inserting html into the main content column/area but I need additional html below the header and above the 'contentMainWrapper' table. Can you suggest how to do that?

Turn off both sidebars from the admin and then you can do whatever you want with the middle.

My sincere apologies. Should have read the "About Posting" section a little more carefully. I was am not looking for private consultation.

That image that I uploaded earlier does show a simple version of what I am trying to do. I understand that I can turn off the columns but I need to keep the left column on as it will have all dynamic content.

Is it possible to do what I am looking to do?
