Google Checkout - New orders not updating Zen Cart Admin Site

I have Zen Cart installed and working with their sandbox. I have placed several practice orders, but have noticed that when I check out via Google Checkout, the Zen Cart Admin site does not get updated with new customer orders. Is this how this module was designed or am I missing a setting somewhere.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. You guys haven't let me down yet! Great forum.

Hey I just fixed this by re reading the read me. It's at the bottom

you will have to change permissions on the htaccess file to 777, then run the htaccess script then change them back.

Thanks for the response. I'm not quite sure what to do though. The .htaccess file is a php file, not an executable script. All I did was unpack the contents in the appropriate directory, and can place orders etc., but the orders don't show up in the admin directory. I can chmod the permissions to 777, but then I'm not sure what to do, since I didn't think the .htaccess file was a script. Please let me know, I'm in limbo right now between Paypal and Google Checkout.

I was able to do the procedure you explain earlier, but no change. Orders are still not showing up in the Zen Cart Admin site. Please let me know if you have any other thoughts. I tested with the Google Sandbox, but that shouldn't make a difference. Please let me know. Thx.

If you were able to execute that white screen to write to to htaccess file then you don't need to do it again.
However when i copied and pasted from GC admin into that white screen and noticed that my key was missing some #s at the end and was shorter because the box is smaller than the key. I would double check that, maybe copy the key from google page and make sure you get all the underscores if your key has them, and re-execute the white screen script.

Then I would double check the GC response handler url and make sure it matches with my GC admin settings.

Then i would toggle between cgi true and false-

Are you able to see new orders show in the ZenCart Admin section when you check out with GC? Also, when I ran the .htaccess script it said it executed correctly. I copied and pasted everything from the Google site. Also, where do I check the GC response handler?

yes gc orders show in admin.

To check if your htacess is working correctly try this:

go to url www.(yoursitehere).com/googlecheckout/responsehandler.php

it should ask for user and pass.

put in you id and key from the goggle checkout.

If it takes it and doesn't give you an error your good.

not 401 or 500 error is good. Instead it should say something like
Invalid or not supported Message-- this is good!

Do your orders also show up when using your Sandbox account? I also tried the below command, http://www.(yoursitehere).com/google...nsehandler.php, with my website and it came back asking for the username/pwd, but it would not accept my username/pwd. I used the username/pwd that I use to log into checkout.google.com, but I did not receive the 401 or 500 errors at least. Here is what I got when I ran the htaccess script (or similar). I will check on the SSL thing, but I am able to access my website via https://..... I'm very confused right now if you can't tell :wacko:. I can't really sell anything until I get this working. Any further ideas would be GREATLY appreciated. I will check out the thread you suggest as well.

Ok, I entered the merchant ID and merchant Key from Google Checkout (production merchant ID and Key) when doing the following https://www.mywebsite.com/googlecheckout/responsehandler.php and get the following message: Invalid or not supported Message

I think you said this is good. However, when I test with my sandbox account no orders show up in the Admin section of Zen Cart. That's fine if they are not supposed to, I just need to know one way or the other.

I have not tested this yet using in Live Production because I want to verify that everything is working correctly.

I can shop on my website, check out with Google Sandbox checkout and return to my website, receive confirmation emails for orders placed etc.

The final thing I need is for orders to show up in the Admin section. If they don't when using the Sandbox acct. that's fine, I just need to know.

ok i upgraded from GC version 1.4.5 to the new v1.4.7 now orders are not being sent back to admin of Zencart. I see the orders when i log in to google but unable to see them in the admin side of zencart, Before the upgrade it was working fine and i have not changed my settings they are the same as with v1.4.5 any ideas.

Now just swith around http and https and true and false fro cgi and your good to go. Invalid or not supported Message

I have tried that but still not working

I had the same problem until i changed some settings in google checkout. now my orders are processed and customer is returned to my store. it says digitally processed, new order shows up in admin area and customer is instantly able to download the product!

I have GC Checkout module ver 1.4.7 and Zen-Cart 1.3.8

Do not check the box for "My company will only post digitally signed carts."

Under API callback url enter: https://www.yourdomain.com/googlecheckout/responsehandler.php

The callback method is XML. I have no boxes checked under advanced settings.

I also set the permissions for googlecheckout/responsehandler.php on my server to 666. This is full read and write.

I also have google checkout settings to authorize and charge immediately.

I'm having the same problem, nothing is being logged in Zen Cart.

I've done all the htaccess stuff, everything is coming back as fine.

I've tried messing about with the settings in both GC and Zen Cart but no joy.

No idea what to try next!
