SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host

Firstly, I have the latest version of zencart on my server.

It says SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host, when I try to send messages. And it says the same when I try and send newsletters.

I have both the old and new version of zencart on my server, yet with the old one it sends messages just fine. But when I send the newsletters from the old one it says they are sent, but the customers don't recieve them.

Since both are not successfully sending messages, it would seem that your SMTP server settings are incorrect.
