Different product's category image vs. product's page image ... ??

Hi all I am here with yet another question, that I'm sure has been asked before. I skimmed through the FAQ's and couldn't find it. I'm using Hoverbox3 at the moment (don't know if that will change anything)

We sell custom golf grips; being that golf grips are oddly long and thin thus hard to see on the product's category page, i.e. image below...

instead of seeing a small rectangle of the Arizona Cardinals under the NFL category I'd like to just show the Arizona Cardinals logo (the cardinal head) and likewise for all the other sports teams. Then when they click the product it goes to the product page but instead of the Arizona Cardinals logo it loads up the image of the golf grip opposed to the logo shown on the previous category page.

Is this at all possible?

If I get what you want - you want the category image to echo or be the carfinal head for the cardinals and ravens for the ravens etc...

You would need to create separate categories for each and assign the appropriate image to the category...

If I got this wrong, please try to be more specific

I have a handful of categories i.e. NFL, MLB, NHL etc. and I need for each product thumbnail found in the category, when you click the NFL category to show the teams icon/logo i.e. the cardinal head or raven head. But then when you go to that specific team's product, it's main image is of the golf grip.

example:
NFL > XXX > Specific X

Where NFL is the category, XXX is the category page with all the thumbnail listings and Specific X is a specific team.

XXX needs to have the icon/logo head and Specific X needs to have the actual grip image.

Each of those pages uses a different size of image I believe. Ordinarily you have three sizes of the same image in use in Zen Cart. But if you manually create your various sizes (instead of using some kind of automatic image resizer tool), you can easily use one image -- the logo say -- for one size and another image -- the grip -- for another size.

Yes, I've tried that I even looked up external tutorials to try and figure it out the image hiarchy that zen uses, but I think that the hoverbox3 I currently have installed is causing me the heartache because I am exporting the images at the proper size and have the Images section of my admin area to reflect those changes and I believe I have the hiarchy correct. (I am using the one I referenced in my above external tutorial.) I try and change the image but it will either keep the logo image or the grip image as all images, never an alternative. :(

I am very willing to give any other information that can be of use to anyone! Keep trying to help please!

I rebooted my pc and restarted the xampp client etc. apparently it was pulling images from a local drive as opposed to where it should have been. problem solved. thank you all sooo much for all your time and input. :clap::clap:
