my images won't resize!

In the "configuration/Images" I keep trying to resize my images. However, no matter what I change them to, my pictures stay the same size on the page. What am I doing wrong????

What are the original sizes of your images? (ie: the actual image dimensions in pixels - width & height).

I set them up like the suggestions here- a small at 120 px medium at 240 px and large at 480px.

The one picture I really need to resize I loaded at 500 px but I can't get it to show over 100 px no matter the settings that I change???

As we are unable to see what settings you are applying in your admin panel, it's not easy to see why your settings are not having the desired effect.

Do you have Image Hander installed (IH2)?

If not, you may consider installing this module as it makes image management much easier, and renders better quality images.

I'm having the same issue; I've read through all the tutorials, resized and named the images accordingly, but when I click on "larger image" the small version pops up. So, my _LRG image in images/large directory is not being been. HELP!

First, you have an error in your configure.php file as you can see 2 forward slash marks in your URL and that is incorrect ...

Next, the image being called is the small image vs the large image ...

Where do you have the small image loaded and where do you have the large image loaded?

What is the name of the small image and what is the name of the large image?

Solution on problem 2 is the location of the images ...

You are using:

Small image file name: images/accessories/petitewallet.jpg; size 150X105
Large image file name: images/large/petitewallet_LRG.jpg; size 1024x718

You should be using:

Small image file name: images/accessories/petitewallet.jpg; size 150X105
Large image file name: images/large/accessories/petitewallet_LRG.jpg; size 1024x718

About two slashes in configure.php: For the life of me I can't figure out what language to change to fix it. I'm new to PHP; would very much appreciate your help ;-)

Hi, I'm having the same problems with my category icons on my main page. What ever I do it won't go any bigger than 150px. The images are not clear.

Your images are so huge you will:

1 burn up your bandwidth allotment before the month is out

2 lose customers who won't wait for them to load

3 turn off spiders with slow pages

this is a bad thang ... :eek:

Settings are now as you have suggested and we have worked verry hard to reduce the size of all our images. Nothing I do seems to make the Image on the front page any larger and there by improving the image quality.

Can anyone help?

We've even changed the images to be less fussy.

Turn of the proportional scaling, does it help?
