no offence Rod however I find your response to be quite rude. If the directions were more clear (eg mention that "catalog" refers to where you have installed zencart) then perhaps simpletons like myself would not need to ask what you see as such a basic question that we obviously should know the answer to.
FYI some of us do not have time to "have a good play with with the fun side of zencart BEFORE playing with the dull stuff like the shipping modules." For some of us the shipping modules etc are a required part of zencart so we can get our sites up and running as quick as possible
I'll not take offense if you don't.
Point#1, There is nothing from stopping you, or any one else from writing better instructions, even though of the 5000+ people that use this module less than a handful have ever had installation problems because of problems understanding them.
Seriously, if you can improve upon the documention PLEASE DO SO. I'll add them to the next release.
Oh, and if you think the AP module instructions aren't good enough you are probably going to be in for a very rude awakening when you read the instructions for some of the other modules.
Point#2, There should NEVER EVER be a need to rush to get a shopping cart up and running as quickly as possible unless you are familiar with the shopping cart you are going to be using. Anyone with a serious interest in online sales shouldn't need to be told that.
OK, it may be that you have a client that is rushing you into producing a cart for them, in which case I consider that I am doing your client a favour by forcing you into having some idea of how you plan to maintain it. How do I know that you aren't just another of those 'fly by night' web designers that charge Joe Public a small fortune for installing/configuring ZenCart, only to disappear when they find they taken on more than they can chew.
I stand by my original claim that you (and ALL NEW ZENCART USERS) should spend a week or three just playing around, changing the way it looks and behaves (best done by using the themes) before even considering adding the dull stuff like additional postage modules.
Cheers
