product info page help

Looked for help with this but couldn't find anything. I hope someone can straighten me out.

The product info page has what looks like a wrapper (maybe ask/tell wrapper) at the bottom of the info page that should have "ask a question", "tell a friend" and "write a review" buttons but they are missing.
The "reviews" button is there. As are the other buttons on the page.

I made some customization changes and messed this up. Any help is much appreciated. site is acornvitamins dot com

Thanks

Re: product info page help

Try checking your includes/languages/english/button_names.php file for the
line

define('BUTTON_IMAGE_TELLAFRIEND', 'button_TellAFriend.gif');

and one that needed to be added for ask a question and make sure that the line syntax is correct like the single quotes paired & matched

Re: product info page help

hello Kobra, Thank you for the reply. I looked through the files you mentioned above and all seems ok to me, although I am extremely limited when it comes to this stuff.
I feel as if the code on the product info page is not calling for the button image so I am including the tpl_product_info_display file if you'll have a look at it for me.
Thanks

Re: product info page help

The code you show is looking for the button image, but it is not finding the definition for its filename, nor is it finding the definition for the alt text.
Are the image files saved in the correct place? What is the exact path to them? (Since one of them shows, this is probably correct.)
What file did you find the definitions in? What is the exact location of the file?

The BUTTON_IMAGE_ASK_A_QUESTION is defined as the filename of the reviews button image, and that one definition is being found by the code.

Re: product info page help

Thanks Glenn,
I hope I know what you are asking.

image files: all .gif found in /public_html/includes/templates/clean_business/buttons/english/
example: btn_checkout_green.gif, button_tell_a_friend.gif, button_reviews.gif

definitions: /public_html/includes/languages/english/
example:account.php, button_names.php, product_info.php etc

Does this help at all?

Re: product info page help

Do you have a file named
/includes/languages/english/clean_business/button_names.php?

That is where your customized files should be, and if there is something there, a copy in the default location will be ignored.

Re: product info page help

Yes I do have that file.

I've been able to make some progress on the product info page- but can't seem to get the "tell a friend" button to display.
Here is whats in the button_names.php file for the "tell a friend" button:

define('BUTTON_IMAGE_TELLAFRIEND', 'button_tellafriend.gif')

define('BUTTON_TELLAFRIEND_ALT', 'Tell a Friend')

I have tried everything and all combinations to get the button to display but no luck. Would you like to see the tpl_product_info_display file ?
I just can't find the problem. My site is up to date at this point if you'd be kind enough to look.
Thank you

Re: product info page help

Glenn, Kobra:
Thanks you guys- I guess I didn't try all the alternatives, as I've fixed my problem!
Your directions on where to concentrate my efforts proved a winner. I had to make small aterations to both the tpl_product_info_display file and the button_names.php file.
And, I overlooked some small mistakes many times until I was finally able to see them.
Thank you again
