This error appears when "France, Metropolitan" is selected, how do I delete this option, and maybe just have "France" for this country?:lookaroun

Find anyone in the address_book using that and change them to France instead ... once all is changed you can delete France Metropolitan ... this has caused issues on other sites with various shipping modules and getting rid of it seems the easiest solution ...

Which specific shipping module is causing that error message to appear?
How exactly is it manifesting?

I recently had a customer, who complained he could not get past step 1 (shipping).

I checked and for this error: Re: -2147219080 - Missing value for Country.

appears using both mods:

United States Postal Service
-2147219080 - Missing value for Country.

United Parcel Service
We are unable to obtain a rate quote for UPS shipping.
Please contact the store if no other alternative is shown.

I have changed all my customers using France, Metropolitan to just FRANCE and all is working well now...

I believe we're having this problem with Paypal as well...
I see the odd order from France get rejected due to "invalid country code" on shipping and billing address.

Probably a good idea to delete "France, Metropolitan" from your countries list.
