agree terms and conditions, where to see it?

Dear Customer

I set Regulations > Confirm Terms and Conditions During Checkout Procedure > set to true, so customers have to agree my terms and conditions before going to next stage. but where can I find a record which can aprove if the customes do indeed check this box and agree our terms? just in case if there is dispute with customers and I need to prove this.

ALso, if I want to move this box to bottom of "checkout_payment" page, which file and how to edit?

"Please acknowledge the terms and conditions bound to this order by ticking the following box. The terms and conditions can be read here.
I have read and agreed to the terms and conditions bound to this order."

thank you for help!

At this time it is a checkbox that must be checked to proceed ... it is not recorded at the moment that it was checked ...

This is being looked into for a future release to actually record the action of having checked the box ...

Re: agree terms and conditions, where to see it?

has this been implemented yet?

it shouldn't be that hard to do but if there is a module I would prefer to do it that way to save time.

I'm pretty sure it's included in version 2.0.

Thank you for the prompt reply, I'm on 1.3.8 and I've customized a lot of the admin side for my use so I will probably just write something.

Just out of curiosity, why would you want to do this?

I can't see where it offers you any real liability protection, and it seems to violate the ecommerce Prime Directive: "Don't do anything that gets in the way of a visitor becoming a customer".

This will be on the back end. As of now they must agree to the terms in order to checkout. All I would be doing is adding a mechanism on the back end to show Agreed To Terms: True/False on the invoice. This would show the customer checked the box. It is really useless since it is understood they had to check the box to checkout but the shop owner would like it to show it on the invoice if there were ever a dispute. I tried explaining that it ads no added benefit but they want the feature, so I'll give them the feature.

Re: agree terms and conditions, where to see it?

Correct me if I am wrong, but once you set up the option to force buyer to tick "read terms and conditions", wouldn't it mean that customer already agree that they have read it, otherwise, they would not be able to buy from your online store? which means that it already proof that buyer already read and agree with the term and conditions?? if they didn't tick to agree with it, they would not be able to buy? hope this make sense??
