I want sub-categories, and drop-down menu's

What do I do?? I've searched the FAQ's, but haven't seen anything.

Like, on my site - on the left, I have 5 or 6 categories. 1 category is Electronics. In the Electronics category, when I click on that, I want to have 3-4 different sub-categories before I actually start seeing product. Does Zen-Cart support this kind of functionality?? Thanks in advance :D

Or if you just mean that you want to divide your categories into subcategories, that is part of the basic functionality of Zen Cart.

The catch is that you can't have subcategories and products directly in the same category. Once you have products in a category, you can't add subcategories there (which may explain why you can't find the way to create subcategories).

What you can do is make a new temporary category, move all of the electronics products to that, then create your electronics subcategories. Once you do that, you can move the products into the subcategories where you want them.

Awesome, this is great info, thanks!!! So, what if I decided to create my new category, name it something different, create my sub-categories, move my product into them, and then re-name the new category to what I'd like to to be, thats do-able, correct??

What about drop-down menu's, for options on products??
