Clone Featured Products

I want another feature that acts just like the featured products. Does anyone know how to clone the featured products part of Zen Cart or know the steps for this.?

You don't say whether you mean the featured products listing page, or the featured products box that appears in the center of the home page (and a few other places) or the featured products sidebox.

Although they all work off the same dataset, each is built differently and would lead to a different answer.

Or do you mean the whole package, including setting featured products in the Admin? In which case you'd need to tell us more about what you want to do.

I want to have a clone of everything dealing with featured products. Functionality on the font end and admin in but I want to call it: Aquacultured instead of featured products. So I can add products to the aquacultured products or featured products. Understand?

But you might try a search in the Tools ... Developers Tool Kit ... for the word:
feature

in both the Catalog/Admin and see what all files come up ...

Then look in your database for all tables for feature in the name ...

This should lead you in the right direction to clone that ...

where do I go to change how many products are displayed on the features products sidebox?

To change the number of Products in the sideboxes for New or Specials or Featured, go to the Configuration ... Maximum Values ...

Featured, for example would be:

Random Featured Products for SideBox
Number of random FEATURED products to rotate in the sidebox
Enter the number of products to display in this sidebox at one time.

How many products do you want to display in this sidebox?
