Organizing Products in to Different Categories

I want to organize my products in various categories with different headings. I would like it to look like this:

Shop by Product:
Designer Diaper Bags
Handmade Diaper Bags
Custom Diaper Bags
Design Your Own Bag
Photo Bags
Accessories

Gift Ideas:
Personalized Diaper Bags
Baby Boy
Baby Girl
Gender Neutral
Gifts under $50
Gifts under $100

Shop By Style:
Tote Diaper Bags
Backpack Diaper Bags
Messenger Diaper Bags

Can I do that? Would I use EZ pages for the options under gift ideas and shop by style? If I do that, how do I make EZ pages product pages?

Can't you just make each of your main Categories and add your SubCategories to each one then add your Products to their own SubCategory, then Link the Products to the other SubCategories you want them to be related to?

That's what I needed to hear! I didn't even think of that. I'm going to try it and see if that's what I'm trying to do. Is there a way to make the subcategories show then? I'll work on that. Thank you SO much for helping me see it differently!!

Where do you want them to show that they are not showing?

To show up under "Shop By Product" even before you click on it. Can I do that?

There is a setting for openning the Store for a given categories_id ...

Look in the Configuration ... Layout Settings ...

Categories - Always Show on Main Page
Always Show Categories on Main Page
0= off
1= on
Default category can be set to Top Level or a Specific Top Level

Main Page - Opens with Category
0= Top Level Categories
Or enter the Category ID#
Note: Sub Categories can also be used Example: 3_10

See if that does what you are looking for ...

I may not be doing it right, but the first of the options was set to on,

the second suggestion just set my home page to one of my categories.

It is designed to go to your Home page where the main category will behave as if openned and the subcategories will display on the main page ...

Depending on your layout and template, this may or may not be what you are looking for ...

Do you want all of the subcategories (or all of the first level subcats) showing all the time?
If so, what you want is one of the expanded categories mods.

Another thing you could do is make
