Server Crash

Well folks Sunday night after the incremental backup the server lost a hard disk so I am trying to get the cart back up. Sorry I didn't take the time to search everywhere to resolve this but trying to recover other things ASAP. I installed a new hard disk and the OS, went into mysql on the new install and did the grant for the user and restored the store from the backup. But no matter what I do Zen Cart says it can't connect to the server. Do I need to loose everythin by using ZC-Install, or what do I need to do to get the store back up. The username and password do match what is in configure.php. In other words HELP, please.

If you mean you get the 'can't connect to the database' error, triple-check the db name, user and password.

Do you get the same error when trying to access both the shop and admin?

Well I am getting 0 DB_ERROR_NOT_CONNEXTED in admin and and the sorry message on the main cart saying can't connect.

I checked the grant tables and all appears to be correct after a dozen checks! This hurts

Happy camper and thank heavan for PHPADMIN. Foud that I had another user that I had created in haste that also had all thhe necessary priviliges to the database and had killed the them on the correct user. :clap:
