Adding a drop down menu to a sidebox

Hello all
Im currently wanting to create a dropdown menu in my LH nav - search by size.
I was thinking the dropdown could sit in a sidebox above Information box.
Could anyone point me in the right direction to any modules or any guides on this? Ive searched but not had alot of joy.

If you get and install the blank sidebox mod, you can put any HTML you want into it, including dropdowns.

Once you install it, it will show up in Admin - Tools - Layout Boxes Controller like any other sidebox, so you can place it where you want it there.
