Pass Info From WebSite Into Zen-Cart?

Hi folks,

I am building a website that allows visitors to upload an image, edit it on the server (crop), and then purchase a product made from the image.

I am using PHP/HTML for the upload/crop pages, and then I am going to send the customer to my Zen-Cart installation to log-in and checkout. But I need to be able to pass on the filename of the upload so that it will be cataloged along with their name and address (otherwise I won't know which customer uploaded which image).

Currently, when they upload the file (outside of Zen-Cart) I append the filename with the random session ID. So, if they uploaded "family.jpg" it would be renamed "sessionID_family.jpg".

I need to be able to pass along either

1: A current session ID (started outside of Zen-Cart)
2: A hidden form field which I would put the filename into, and pass along into Zen-Cart

Then I need to be able to store this number (either the current session ID, or a hidden form variable) along with their name and address so that I could access it in the same place I access their name/address/etc..

Has anybody done something like this, or have any ideas about how I can make it work?

Using the session ID won't work. I actually need to POST another line of text into Zen-Cart as well (after cropping the image the user will be able to select from various options).

SO, it should be simple to put a form on each Zen-Cart page, and then use POST and GET to carry my variables into Zen-Cart, and then from page to page.

What I still would appreciate some help on is the best way of storing this data along with the customer info. So, if I have a hidden form field on the login/signup page that carries my 40+ character photo filename, how can I add that to the database along with their customer information?
