Big Royal Mail - No prices coming through - help appreciated

Hello :-)

I am currently getting the basic setup of the store working.

I am trying to get the Big Royal Mail module to work.

I have set it as per the instructions.

No joy at all, it is not showing any costs.

Could someone have a look at it for me, I am probably missing something obvious.

I have only set it up for UK postage at the moment so if you can look at the Imari plate and put a UK postcode in PE4 7NG and select United Kingdom, you should see my problem.

The only thing I can think of, is that there are some SQL files in the module download folder, but no instructions to install them or where to install them.

Could this be the problem?

I have set the config/shipping correctly as far as I can tell, but no joy.

I have had to test it live, because the localhost was not working and I wanted to limit that.

I have just updated the sql patches by uploading them via Tools/Install SQL patches, but no joy.

I suspect it is something really obvious...

Anyone with any ideas at all.

My whole website has come to a grinding halt due to this problem.

If the postage cannot be calculated then Zencart is not a viable solution for my business needs as it cannot calculate shipping costs for my customers.

I'm not familiar with that module, but one common problem with getting shipping quotes is that folks fail to set the ship-from postal code in Admin->Configuration->Shipping/Packaging.

Those settings are correct as you have stated.

I can set the flat shipping option and that comes through fine, so it must be a problem with the module.

I just cannot figure out why the postage is not being calculated.

When I try to calculate it just says the "shipping quote is not available at this time".

I do not see any way around this problem, unless their is another solution other than this big royal mail solution.

I am now beginning to wonder if it is a "zone" issue, as there are no zones in there other than the defaults from Zen Cart, ie:

Australia, Brisbane etc...

Surely the zones for the country of the UK should be there, (they are not).

Would a postage module automatically update the zones when the module is added?

(Locations/Taxes /Zones)

But hey, probably just rambling...

Have done a re-install of the whole website from scratch, still no joy.

This module is very difficult to set up and the only help I have found is someone offering to install it for £75.00 ($150.00).

This module really could do with some support folks.

Hi there. I have installed the Big Royal Mail add-on. If you look in the files that come with the product there is a script to install the countries and zones needed to work with this module.

Also look out for a pdf file in one of the folders, it explains some basics and some additional work needed with the zones.

Now the bad news. I have prices getting calculated but the Highlands of Scotland don't calculate correctly, it defaults to zone 1 when it should be zone 2. I have looked at the zones, zones to geozones db and can't see where the error is. All configuration is as per the instructions as I see it!

I have posted elsewhere on this forum my problems but there is nobody responding whatsoever to any of my posts. It's very sad that a product that looks so good on the outside can be so close to running a shop and the basic support on what is really a fundamental module for the UK zenners is not there.

I welcome support from anybody who is familiar with this module and able to make the system differentiate between the Scottish Highlands and Islands and the lowlands in the zone system.
