What are 'spiders'? (other than the eight legged kind) I keep reading that settings should be such and such 'to avoid spiders'. Why are they bad?

You know how you jump over to Google and look up something like:
Walk on the Moon

and it comes with all those listings?

Well ... in order to do that "something" had to run around and gather all that information ...

That "something" are the spiders that constantly are racing around the internet grabbing up information and URLs to help people find the information that they are looking for ...

Your job is to feed the spiders the best spider food to make your links to your site the highest ranking on the search engines ...
