State Sales Tax showing $0.00

Hello,

I'm sure someone out there has had this very same problem. I have set the taxes for our lovely Massachusetts State Sales Tax of 5%, but the amount is coming in as $0.00 on final order. I have checked and double checked but still can't seem to make it work.

I know this is a really old question, but thought I would reply since I had the same question (and am not too smart about percentages etc, obviously)

I was inputting my state tax rate incorrectly. You need to use a percentage (doh). My state tax table show the rate as say .087 and when I put that in, it came up as $0.00 on checkout. When I changed it to 15 in Admin>Locations/Taxes>Tax Rates, the correct amount is charged upon checkout.
