OK... thought I read the entire thread... sorry about that. I have read and re-read now. Thanks for your patience and assistance.

I went in and changed the blank value in my configuration table configuration_key to blank_value in case I needed to change it back easily... LOL

and I re-ran the query from the store (I have DB prefixes, so that usually works better for me) and....

IT WORKS!!!

The autoresponder have been working for a while just fine. We usually send an email to the customers 10 days after shipping to ask for feedback.

In the past 2 days I start having problems. For some reason the autoresponder is being reloaded like 100 times within an hour.

I have the cron set for 2pm everyday which is the same settings that have been working. Monitoring the server it seems that the autoresponder is in an endless loop so it keep being reloaded.

Any suggestions on what might be the reason?

I can't think of any reason why the mod would cause that. If it just suddenly stopped working then maybe your host has changed something. Or maybe someone is reloading it in their browser. You could try changing the name of the autoresponder file. Also try setting up the cron job again in case that's at fault. Have you set up the mod so that it gives the order a new order ID when executed? That will prevent the customer receiving more than one email.

I have set it up on a different server and changed the name of the autoresponder . I just got an email from one angry customer who got the email 30 times.

This is the cron I am running

I never had it set to change the order id and it was working fine. I don't really want to change the customer status as this will send the customer an email anyway.

Added new status {115} now I am getting this error:

1136 Column count doesn't match value count at row 1
in:
[insert into orders_status_history values ( '', '2114', '115', now(), 0, '' )]

Any thoughts? Which file define the sql for the status update?

Fixed it. I have TY Tracker installed which alter the order_status_history table. I added empty value to the insert command and it works now.

I have installed this mod, however the discount coupon isn't working. I created a coupon as a template, used the [coupon] tag in the message and put that coupon name in the autoresponder configuration. A code is generated that appears to be a random number but if a customer tries to use the code then they get an "invalid coupon code" if I look up the coupon in the zencart "discount coupons" it shows The Discount Coupon Redemption Code you have entered is for ''.

Any suggestions?

does actually send automatice autoresponder / follow-up emails with tracking - so emails are only send once.

It is modular, so new kind of emails / automatic follow-ups can be added as a module like you know from e.g. payment.

Just about to install this and fell over at the first hurdle! I get an error 500 msg when i run the sql script. I'm using a PHP 4 and PHP5 compatible server and have had another problem associated with this causing other error 500 messages - the word 'from' in the product desription was causing it! My host made a change to a rule and it cured that problem, they also removed #RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f [NC] in htaccess which was causing 30,000 errors a day (oops!)

Any ideas?

I can only answer to the second part - what is the difference between 'Autoresponder+' and 'Aftersales Automatic Trigger Email Campaigns with Modules' (aka "MailBeez")

The purpose of both addons is quite similar, but while Autoresponder+ is a monolithic application with more and more functionality added over time, MailBeez has a much more advanced, modular approach :smartalec::

MailBeez 'Aftersales Automatic Trigger Email Campaigns with Modules' is actually an open framework ("MailHive") which can be extended with modules ("MailBeez").

So as a merchant you can design your own automatic campaign structure by adding and configuring modules e.g.:

• ask your customer for reviewing purchased product
• send winback campaigns to customers who haven't purchased for lets say 6 months.
• birthday greetings

There are already a couple of ready made modules available, but with some PHP and SQL knowlege new modules can be built.

MailBeez modules are not limited to generate email campaigns targeting customers, e.g. the "Service: Database Optimization" does what it says it does and just sends an email with the result to the admin.

Hello.. I just installed Autoresponder on a new site I am developing.. The install went smoothly and everything seemed fine.. When I run the autoresponder.php I get the Autoresponder successfully loaded.. Yet I do not get the emails.. I am in test mode.. I have a completed order 2 days ago and have the "Days After set to 1 day.. I also turned on logging and no log is being created..:(

why not giving MailBeez a try? is fully supported and under ongoing development - the free version has already a rich featureset and free modules for e.g. asking for reviews, winback, nopurchase -follow-ups and some more.

Thanks for replying, the reason is because I don't have vencart 1.3.9 installed I;m still running 1.3.8 and I think it would be a lot of work to upgrade. Does it work on 1.3.8?

yes, MailBeez V2.5 runs perfectly on Zencart 1.3.8, for giving full control about the email generation, there is a small modification (update to 1.3.9) necessary, as described on (just updated):

as you can see, everything else is simply copying a couple of files and a folder into your zencart system and you are ready to go.

I have installed all the files and triple checked they are correct.

I see a note on the installation page about 1.3.8 but this seems like it is an option rather than a must for 1.3.8 users.

My question is; where is the information about making it work for 1.3.8? Currently when I go to the Admin-Tools-Mailbeez I get a blank page
