_LRG works but _MED doesn't.

I have managed to get my Product pages to use _LRG images, but have been unable to get my Category pages to use _MED images.
Any suggestions on what I need to do to implement the use of my medium sized images on my Category pages?

Re: _LRG works but _MED doesn't.

Have you an URL to a Product where the Images are not working correctly?

What are the paths and image names that you are using for this Product?

Re: _LRG works but _MED doesn't.

Thanks for reply Linda, but this is my upskilling process on local XAMPP installations.
Yes I have them on seperate PCs to check for consistency of results, and documentation of my progress.
Anything that I can check for locally that could be helpful?
I have been unable to find, either in The Book, or the forum, a clear description covering exactly how I should implement defined category images.
See my new query re this.

If you could post the image filenames and their paths we might be able to see the issue ...

Re: _LRG works but _MED doesn't.

Hi Linda
I suspect that my problem is the basic one of not knowing, or seeing written anywhere, exactly how to implement an image selection/implementation/activation for a specific category.
Probably just some facility/option in the admin area that I am unaware of.
Can you cover this for me?

My path is C:\xampp\htdocs\store\images\medium
And some of the filenames of the files within the medium folder are:-

ap_landslide_MED
ap_vanquish_MED
ap_volatile_MED

As I have mentioned, the large versions of these images display on the product pages exactly as I want them to, thus eliminating the need to select a larger popup image.

Re: _LRG works but _MED doesn't.

Silly me.
The files are all jpegs so the filenames all end in .jpg

But exactly how and where do I assign a particular file to a particular Category? This is presumably the crux of my problem. For example do I use the Products Image window and the 'Upload to directory:' drop-down menu at the bottom of the 'Product in Category' page in Admin?
I am sure that you can sense my confusion/frustration.

Re: _LRG works but _MED doesn't.

Thanks for the link Linda.
I have studied those links and have so much printed material that I am a danger to the rain-forest.
Nothing that I have found enables me to control the size (presently 100 x 60) of the image that is displayed in each entry/row in the displayed items when their subcategory is selected in the menu.

Re: _LRG works but _MED doesn't.

You have settings for 1000 and that is bigger than most monitors ...

Change that to somewhere reasonable between 200 and 400 and see if there is a change ...

Next, change the proportional image setting to 0 or off, does that change anything?

What happens if you switch to the Classic Template?
