Running site from dvd or pc

Howdy!
I'd like my cart to be able to run from a computer without internet connection.
As it's WAY out of my league to know these things.....

Can I run phpmyadmin database and zen-cart from a pc.
ie. Install the whole lot on just the one pc where there is no internet connection.
It would just be for searching the site...so no sales or updating would be done.
(main site would still be run through our host online)

Thanks for putting me right!
:)

You may find http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=61069 helpful.

For anyone looking to do the same thing...
I now use HTTrack website copier.

Copies everything from your site so it shows exactly as if online.
Only the search function doesn't work and of course can't be used to make sales etc.

But it's perfect for when the internet connection goes down etc

Never got back to say thanks for the response on that more advanced option, so thanks for the link.

Better late than never LOL

This surely rates as the mosty procrastinated response on a forum EVER? :D:D

For a true running of ZC off a CD or DVD use http://www.server2go-web.de/index.html .
