Powered by Zen Cart

I have searched and I have found that you are allowed to remove "powered by zen cart" if ur not using a "stock" template....

what exactly do they mean by "stock". I'm using the TruBlu template downloaded for free on this site and I did some heavy modifications to it, keeping the same images. Am I allowed to remove "powered by zen cart" or not?

and don't say "Why would u even want to remove it, without it you'd be doomed" - i get this lol, but i still want to know...

OK to remove just do not replace with "Powered by cdambati" or something else that is false - It is powered by Zen Cart or nothing

Actually, I removed this from my site and also removed it from the meta tag called generator. I love Zen, but why make my site a target for hackers?

Hackers were searching for the Powered by Zen cart a few years ago and then hacking those sites.

It is just another level of security.

Of course, if you are using a standard template, then you can't remove it.
