Is USPS shipping module all I need?

Hi all. I've got a client who wanted a store, and so I installed zen-cart. I have used it successfully in the past, but only with the table rate shipping module. My client wants to use USPS exclusively, and he wants as painless a process as possible.

I've been reading threads here on the forum, and I didn't find all the information I needed. My client wants basically a click, print, and ship solution. For example, when an order comes in, he can click a button, print a USPS shipping label, and sticks in on the box for mailing.

I didn't see anything in the USPS module about printing shipping labels. I did, however, find the click and ship option at the USPS website: https://sss-web.usps.com/cns/landing.do

But that might be too many steps (it might be the wrong solution for him entirely, I really don't know). The client wants just a couple clicks, no copying and pasting from one page or app to another page or app, and then end up with a USPS shipping label.

So, is the USPS shipping module all I need, or will I need a couple of modules? It would be great if I could get this set up within zen cart instead of going through a third party solution.

Interesting. I suppose that might work... Anyone had any experience with this? My client wants as trouble-free an experience as he can get.

I downloaded the module and noticed this in a file called "important readme":

PROBLEM:

The uSPS.com site appears to have changed part of its form validation.
This causes the site to show an error when trying to use the autofill button:

Internal Error : We've experienced an unexpected condition.
Error Tracking Number : xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Based on some research from a few forum members, it seems that the only way around this is to force the form to have an error so that it displays the form for you to correct it.

There is also a solution presented, but it involves adding a slash to the email address, and then removing it when you use the program. At least that's how I understand it. The client isn't going to like that very much.

Any ideas or solutions that don't require recurrent slash removal?

Actually it works quite well. For us it is easier to generate the form error in the weight instead of the email address. Only because we are going to have to set the wieght with actual package weight. It the Zen cart settings for the mod we set the weight to a letter.

This is probably the smoothest way to manage the usps shipping with the fewest clicks.

That solution worked for me, too. Actually, it works great. My client wants to enter the product weight at the time of printing a label, so this solution is near perfect. I just put a slash in the weight field...maybe I'll change that to "lbs" or something. I'll play with it a little, but it will work as it is.
