One product does not display as the others

Alright....this is driving me crazy. LOL I have 11 items at this time loaded to my store. All of which are downloadable items. The first 10 items show perfectly fine and I have had no problems with customers downloading them. But....the last item shows "0 in stock" and although they can still add to cart....I have had several e-mails saying they did not order because of this!

How do I correct this. They should never be out of stock and never show 0 in stock. And...all other products display correctly. I have no idea what I did to this one. LOL

To see what I am talking about....go to https://www.digitaldesignsbyrhonda.com an click on New Products....the first product should be the ribbons....and next to the checkout box it shows "0 in stock." help me get rid of that! LOL

Is the setting in Admin - Configuration - Stock - Check stock level set to False ?

Yes, it is set to false. And all other items do not show this. I have noticed that everything I uploaded last night now appears as 0 in stock as well. Makes no sense to have the first 10 items I loaded to look fine...but all new items are getting checked. Hmmm....could it be because they are in a different category maybe?

Bumping up hoping someone might have an answer for me.

Could you give the products_id that is not working and a products_id that is working? :smile:

You are using 2 product types ... :eek:

Document Product
Product General

Click on these products and look at the URL and see if that is the problem ...

As the two product types differ only in the display but use the same tables, you could edit the products_type in the products table via phpMyAdmin and make it match your other Products so that it uses the same templates ...

I have changed everything to the same product type:

Product General. And this still did not resolve the problem.

If you had changed this one:
/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_5&products_id=21

to Document Products ... I would not be seeing the product_info in there ... :blink:

NOTE: I am finding quite a few of those in there that are Product General vs Document Product ...

If all are Product General ... then change all of your products to that value for the products_type and then, go to the Catalog ... Product Types ... and EDIT LAYOUT on the Product General and turn off the Stock display ...

I figured out what i have to do. Duh...I changed the product type.....but it did not change for some reason all items within that subcategory despite the fact that I clicked the include subcategories button.

I had to add the product as a new product again for it to take. Weird! But....I can now update all the new stuff and from now on remember to upload items as a documents product since that seemed to be what was working before.

Thank you so much...this has been very helpful. I just did not realize I had them set differently. But I just copied all the information over for the item and then deleted it and then created a new item under that type and it worked.

Phew...I have been stressing over this all week! LOL

Product Type on existing products does not get switched as this could be a very bad thing for people to have happened magically ...

Well I can see that as being a safe feature. LOL Thanks again...I just finished reloading all the items I added this week and it looks perfect. And I even managed to add a drop down box for my products. I feel so special today. grin

I am off to upload more stuff...and this time....get it right!
