remove main nav bar

Trying to get this completely deleted from the top of my page. I've tried commenting out the navMain section and I've tried deleting it... and it is just staying put. Can we dumb it down and give some kind of step by step directions. I've moving so smoothly (a little slowly) on customizing this and this seems to be one of the last things holding me up!
