backorder/new stock notifier

I've tried using search for a bit now, and I'm not sure if Super Orders has this option, but has anyone scripted an 'out of stock, give me your email so I can notify you when new stock arrives' function? So you can keep track of how many people would want the item restocked?

Have you tried the product_notifications.php sidebox?
