How can I Create Nicer Image Popup Windows?

I'm pretty new at this. and have managed to get some editing done on my site. but I'd like my images to pop up the same way they do on this site:

If you click to enlarge the image it opens in a nice border frame and the background fades out a bit.

Can someone tell me how I can do this?

I had originally set up an easypage that they would click on, but I like this option way better.

This mod claims to create image popups which don't suck.

There are a couple of mods which mention 'popup on attribute images', but it looks like that site just put it's medium images on the main page and let Zencart show the large image when clicked. You can look at the page source to see exactly what they did.
