2 Free Shopping Comparision engines

While searching for cheap and free methods to get my products listed outside of my site I came across two really cool websites.

The first one is thefind.com. If you check their cubestat.com value you can see they get a decent amount of page views. All you have to do is put in some information and they'll have a bot crawl your site. It took me about a week before my products started getting listed.

The other is shopmania.com. Not as big as TheFind but it's free and you submit a data feed for your products like you do for google base. My products were listed almost instantly (although it took a few days for the images to be added). I hope this helps people and if anyone knows of any other free comparision engines please post here!

I have never had one denied, but then I have never submitted one without prices. Their rules are pretty clear and its their call for sure.

After uploading the datafeed to shopmania it says my products are listed in categories that were not mapped...
Anyone know what to do to fix it? Is it some settings in Shopmania or do I need to modify the datafeed somehow?

Im having problem get thefind to verify my site. I pasted the code into the home page using the "Define Pages Editor" the info shows up on the page.

Yes, I have the same problem. I added 'Up Front' text link to main page using define pages editor and the 'Up Front' badge as a sidebox banner. But still says 'Not Verified'.

Sorry to add another post but TheFind.com are leaving me feel very frustrated.

I have now added the UpFront text link by inserting code into my tpl_footer.php file and the link displays neatly on the footer of my site. You can click on this link and on the UpFront link in the centre of my home page and a nice box appears. But TheFind.com still refuses to verify my site.

I have even tried the other option they offered and put a blank html file into my root directory but I remain unverified.

My question: does any Zen Cart shopping sites successfully use TheFind.com have any of you been verified by them?

I did send them an email but no response to date.

I tried to join thefind.com and I clicked on submit your store, filled in the details and when I click next on the first page it just reloads that page, I can't get to step 2.

Has this happened to anyone else?

I had the same problems so I decided to email them. It did take 4 email's but in the end they responded and they were able to verify us! :clap:

They clearly have a few technical problems but I think it's worth working with them.
