Glacial Age Template Support Thread

NSABaits:

Cheers Clyde,

that worked fine but i'm still struggling with which file & code to edit to expand the the categories box. You mentioned in your previous posts to alter the image width but I'm new to ZC and CSS so I've hit the proverbial wall with this one.

Giles.

The sideboxes are made up of two images (each of which is 150px wide.)

In order to change the width of these images you will need to edit the files in an image editor program.

Re: Glacial Age Template Support Thread

ooooooo that looks terrible once I made the modifications to the images and wrecks the template overall look.

A simple word wrap for the sub categories that aligns the text with the sub cat' would look better. Any ideas?

Giles.

Once you have edited the two images to whatever width you've made them.

You also have to adjust the width of the side columns and the boxes to match the image width.

**admin -> configuration -> layout settings
Column Width - Left Boxes
Column Width - Right Boxes

Column Width - Left Boxes
Column Width - Right Boxes **

As a sidenote: if your text in the sideboxes exceeds the width (150px) then it will wrap there is no getting around this fact.

Re: Glacial Age Template Support Thread

I have the main column border box (centerOuterBorder maybe?) showing only at the top of the main column and not around the whole main column. Could someone look at our site at http://thumbsupforlife.com/ and let me know what I'm doing wrong? It seems to be ok on other pages like if you click on tees, long sleeved in the category list.

Thanks,

Sally

The only thing odd I noticed was that the footer section appears on every page except the product info page(s) (tees, long sleeved)

Well, that is strange. I hadn't noticed that. Is there any other info I can give you that would clue you into what is happening with my home page center column border? More testing shows the border is showing fine in IE but not in Firefox.

Also, on some pcs, the account_bar.gif seems to be too small to contain the 3 buttons for my account, shopping cart and contact us so contact us wraps around to overwrite the date. This happens on 1 out of 2 pcs that are both running Firefox at 1024x768.

download and install the debug utility

after installation go to your product info page.

Now check the error log that is created.

Just one more thing. I want to add a Forum Link in the header..idealy in that little horizontal menu where MY ACCOUNT, SHOPPING CART,CONTACT US.. Is...

How best to do this...

Personally, I'd make that link using EZ-pages. That way you avoid having to create a new graphic for the tab image and making edits to the stylesheet.css

Re: Glacial Age Template Support Thread

First of all, thank you for the template.

I am a newbie to websites, so please excuse if this question is daft. I have spent hours trying to find the answer but no joy.

On my privacy page for instance, the text I have input exceeds the light coloured area in the centre column and runs over into the darker colour. Also the text font changes outside the light coloured area.

How can I modify this area so that all the text area has the one background colour and font?

Thanks
Glenn

URL for your site. I can't really check what the problem might be without actually looking at it.

It could be any of a number of things that could cause this issue and without being able to see it live, I don't have any idea on how to fix the problem.

Re: Glacial Age Template Support Thread

Thanks for getting back to me. I should have it up live in a week or so and I will get back to you then with the url.

One more quick question if I may...

How do I edit the lines "Welcome to Spring Garden Road Giftware
New Customer? Create Account Returning Customers? Log In." on the index page. I have looked everywhere but unable to find it. The define_main_page.php starts just below this line and the includes/languages/english/index.php shows the old "Congratulations...".

Your help is much appreciated.
Cheers
Glenn
