clarifying something in override system

Hi,

Can someone help me clarify something.

so from reading the instructions, it says to create a custom file anywhere that I see a classic file. if I want to modify includes/languages/english.php then I would need to have a custom folder under includes/languages/ and then the english.php under my custom folder. from this example, it shows that the custom folder is in the same directory as the file I want to modify.

but then this is different under templates?!

if I want to modify files like /templates/template_default/common/tpl_header.php

I have to

create /templates/custom template/common/tpl_header.php

under templates, I follow the exact same directory structure.

But shouldn't this be:

/templates/custom template/common/custom/tpl_header.php since this is following the very first logic where the customize folder should be in the same directory as the file you want to edit?

Or are they suppose to be different on purpose depending on what types of files you edit?

The structure should be different depending on where you're creating the custom folder. /templates/custom template/common/tpl_header.php is correct. /templates/custom template/common/custom/tpl_header.php isn't. There's no reason for a custom folder to have a custom folder.
