CRE Loaded to Zen Cart Data Importer [support thread]

My orders import is having problems, though, I must be doing something wrong. I have encryption enable, and I pasted my key into import_cre_orders.php as below (shown with a sample key).

Could be one or two things.

1. Look around record 6484 in your CRE orders table and see if there is any bad data. My best guess is that there is bad data in customers_id or orders_id field but check the whole record.

2. You reached PHP Memory Limit if you have it set for 64M that should be fine.
   To check do Admin -> Tools -> Server/Version Info and see what PHP Memory Limit: is set to.

The php memory limit is 32M so that is probably not the problem.

I am browsing the database in phpMyAdmin looking around records 6400-6600 for some kind of problem. THe orders_id and customers_id fields look ok... there are numbers in each one and no strange characters.

I feel a bit silly but I am not entirely sure what to look for. Non English characters?

One thing I did find for order number 6486 (not record number 6486) is a Portugese customer and his address has lots of special characters. Could that be it possible?

Yes that would be an issue.
Just edit the special characters out.
Characters that seem to be a problem are , ' and " or any non ascii character.

here's a question, just ran this converter with only one hitch. The product images? My thinking is just transfer the images directory from the CRE store to the new zencart images directory, will this work? What will I have to do? Manually add them all back?

All your image file names stored in your database have been transfered. But the image files are not transfered. Yes you need to copy your image files over to your new zen cart directory.

As I have many products priced by attributes, software that can handle these is a must have for me.

Is it better? Better is not the word I would use. Each has it's benefits and draw backs.

The best way for you to evaluate the two would be to setup a test ZC and try each.

As for the attributes being transfered they are.

Hi there sorry about this i have now completed the integration of the files succesfully and have manually transfered the images to zen cart but when i view the site the images are not showing unless i manually import them again by editting each product i have checked to make sure i have uploaded them to the correct folder but still nothing shows can some one please help?

Using myphpadmin or something like it, look at the products table, field product_image.

In ZC the images root is (ZC Install folder/images) so any image info stored in product_image uses ../images/product_image value.

example product_image record = toys/bear.jpg
would be ../images/toys/bear.jpg

There is a sidebox for new product. These show me that there are new products. When i click them i see the message "Product not found"

Did i do something wrong? If someone could help me that would be great.

I found out it only showup in language ENGLISH and my default language is DUTCH. Is there anyway to make it import to dutch?

If you can look at your CRE languages table and see what is the value of your languages_id (1 is normally English, 2 is Deutsch, 3 is Español ) so what is Dutch?

Or check the ZC products_description table you just transferred and see what languages_id value is set.

After you check and see what value Dutch is look at products_description table. You should find that the language_id has the same value.

These values will transfer to the zen cart data base.

Now look at the zen cart languages table is there a Dutch language id? If not make one and use the same language id value that was transferred.

That error is due to over using php memory.

This might help edit import_cre_orders.php find this about line 26

Add change so it looks like this

excellent, that worked great. just one problem now the order sub total shipping and total dont show in orders but they do seem to be in database ?

I would look at cre's orders_total table and see if there is any corrupted data. That would skew the records and stop record linking to the order records.
