SexyPink Template help

Hi,
I have downloaded and changed the images for this template, yet when I installed it my site went a little funky.....

I was using the cherry zen that a friend had quickly altered a long time ago.

I think there is a conflict somewhere but I cant seem to work out where.

I copied a few of the editted files from the cherry zen to get most of it working, but now the only part so far that I cant get to work in the 2nd step in checkout.

The catergories end up in the middle of the page and no shopping cart is shown at all.

I know it isnt the template as I installed it on another site that I use for testing and it worked fine, so it has to be a conflict somewhere and I hope someone can give me some guidance or help to fix this.

p.s the site is back to the old template at the moment but if someone can help I can switch it to the sexypink to find the problem.

It would help to have a link to your site, with the ######## Pink template activated.

It may be that some core file or files were modified when the cherry_zen template was installed.

Edit: How come you can type in ########, but I can't?

I will go and switch the template over.

I can't get to the first checkout page.

I also can't see any product info pages.

I'd go back to cherry_zen, uninstall all the SexyPink files and try again.

Have you tried going back to the 'classic'' template? That might tell us if the problem is modfied core files or not.

Think I fixed it.

Hi, I needed to copy the files that I had editted before from the cherry zen template for some reason, when this was done it worked.

It is a great and easy template to play with and change.

How did you get rid of the Link Bar at the very top of the page??

These links are driving me crazy!!!

Go to configuration, layout settings - tab menu on/off

I have a weird problem with the sexypink template. It installs fine. I go to the main page and click on any link and it comes up with the main body blank. It only shows the header image. No other template does this except that one. Any ideas?

using ZC 138A
I downloaded and installed the sexypink template. It comes up fine after loading it then when I click on any link I get a blank page where the products should be. All I see is the header.

I switch back to silverfish and it works fine. Only a select few templates get this error, what can it be?

You page dies when it's trying to create the left column header. Did you change 'Categories' to something else, maybe with an unescaped apostrophe?

Umm not that I know of unless a template addon changed it somehow. I did a fresh upload and its still doing it. Ill double check that the file is original then post back.

Ok just uploaded the categories.php from a fresh source, still the same problem.
Im thinking about just using this template and rebuilding it new.

Ok Ive just uploaded every file in zen cart (new and fresh) uploaded all of the sexypink template file fresh, nothing edited and it still comes up blank when I click a link. Im starting to get ticked off at this template. Is there a possibility that ez-populate can be causing a problem? I am lost if I cant figure it out ill just have to chuck this template out the door. :frusty:

Ok solved the problem I think. Here is what I did. Considering one poster said it was dying when trying to create the left column I decide to start turning things off in the left column. I turned off the
sideboxes/document_categories.php
Went back to check and it seems to work. This was activated by the template so I have no idea why it does not work by default.
