How do I get FCKeditor to work?

I am unable to use HTMLarea in the product info page, so have uploaded fckeditor to the editor folder, but it is not showing as an option under admin configuration my store. Can anybody please tell me what I have to do to get it up and running! surely it can't be that hard?:unsure:
