too many products to set up specials

i have about 30,000 items on my site.

When I go to "specials", it only displays items alphabetically up to items that starts with "I" which is only about 5000 items. So most of the time i will not be able to find the desired item in the list. Is there a fix for this?

Also the windows of the display is so small. It is very difficult to scroll. It also takes a long time to load.

Please help.

If you're talking about the Admin area, if you know the product number, you can click the link ("Product ID to be Manually Added as a Special") in the bottom of the sidebox on the Specials page, and key in the product number directly.
